Sustainability
How Floral Mongers sources responsibly, supports farming communities, and reduces floral waste.
Our Pledge
Dried flowers are inherently more sustainable than fresh-cut flowers โ they require no refrigeration, no daily water, produce minimal waste, and last months to years. At Floral Mongers, we build on this natural advantage with practices that extend from the farm to your doorstep.
Ethical Sourcing
We source our botanicals directly from small-scale and family-owned farms across India โ from pampas growers in West Bengal to lotus pod cultivators in Andhra Pradesh. By working directly with farmers rather than through layers of intermediaries, we ensure fair pricing, transparent supply chains, and stronger livelihoods for rural agricultural communities.
Our Sustainability Commitments
- No synthetic pesticides on signature dried ranges
- Biodegradable and recyclable packaging across all orders
- Zero single-use plastic in domestic shipments
- Partnering only with farms that meet our ethical sourcing standards
- Supporting farmer income stability through long-term purchase agreements
- Reducing food/agricultural waste by using crop by-products (stems, pods, leaves)
Packaging
Our packaging is kraft-based, fully recyclable, and uses paper tissue, natural twine, and recycled box board. We are actively phasing out all synthetic plastic inserts across our product range. Export orders use FSC-certified cardboard and biodegradable void fill.
Community Impact
Every Floral Mongers purchase supports livelihoods across India’s agricultural communities. We believe sustainability is not just environmental โ it’s social and economic. By growing the dried floral market in India and abroad, we create stable demand for crops that might otherwise have no premium buyer.
