EX52 is a dried decorative mushroom cap given a full metallic gold coat. The photographs show caps mounted singly on long, slender sticks that are also finished in gold. Some caps open out like shallow saucers; others fold up into loose, tulip-like cups. Their rims are thin and ragged, with torn, frilled edges that catch the light.
The close-up shows a finely brushed, radiating grain running from the centre of each cap to its edge, and the paint picks this texture out clearly. At the middle sits a rough, woody core where the stick is fixed, with a slightly darker tone showing through the gold.
These are natural botanicals, so no two caps share the same shape, and the painted finish varies with each surface. In an arrangement they read almost as metallic flowers, which makes them useful for festive, Christmas and New Year décor, luxury gift styling, wedding centrepieces and glamorous shop windows. They also pair well with EX40 for a natural-and-gold mix.
Floral Mongers supplies EX52 in bunches for florists, event decorators and wholesale buyers, with export-grade packing.

Applications

- Shop-window and visual-merchandising displays
- Tall vase arrangements with dried grasses
- Mixed bunches with natural EX40 mushrooms
Natural variation
Each cap is a natural botanical, so its shape, size, edge and openness vary from stem to stem. The gold is applied by hand over an uneven surface, so the depth of colour and coverage near the core differ slightly between pieces. These are natural characteristics of handmade and botanical products, not defects; shade, size and grade are confirmed on sample approval.
Care & storage
- Keep dry and indoors; moisture can soften the caps and dull the paint
- Handle by the stick, as the thin painted rims can chip
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to help keep the metallic tone
- Dust lightly with a soft brush or cool air
