Where we come from
Rooted in Bengal’s Sola Tradition
Floral Mongers is based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The region is the traditional home of sola craft: sola pith, the soft core of the wetland plant Aeschynomene aspera, has been shaped by hand into flowers and ornaments here for generations.
Our range brings that heritage together with India’s wider supply of natural botanicals — dried palm leaves, grasses, seed pods, cane, bamboo and vine — prepared and graded for today’s international décor, floristry, fragrance and retail markets.
