Lovely Rose SO47 has an almost geometric neatness. Rather than a few large petals, it is assembled from many short, folded pieces of sola, each creased along its length and set in close rings so the flower forms a firm, rounded disc.
The folded petals give the surface a faceted look, with small flat planes and sharp edges catching light in a regular rhythm. At the centre, the folds tighten into a small, rolled spiral. The pith is natural ivory with the occasional fine fleck typical of the material.
