Where the daisy-style sunflower uses many slim rays, Special Sunflower SO59 is built from fewer, broader petals that look almost padded. Each one is rounded at the tip and gently domed, with a smooth, satin-like surface, and they sit in overlapping tiers so the flower has real depth.
The centre is large and textured: a dense ring of cut sola pieces in warm brown tones, fringed and curled so the heart stands proud of the petals. The contrast between that busy brown centre and the calm, pillowy white petals gives SO59 a bold, graphic presence.
Its size and weight make it well suited to statement uses — the centre of a wreath, a single bloom on a gift box, a focal flower in a large vase or a feature in harvest and summer displays. It also pairs well with dried wheat, bunny tails and seed pods.
Floral Mongers supplies SO59 among its handmade sola flowers for wholesale and export, with size grading and petal colour options available on request.

Natural variation
As each Special Sunflower is shaped by hand, petal fullness and the height and spread of the brown centre vary slightly, and the ivory petals may range in shade from white to warm cream. These are natural characteristics of handmade and botanical products, not defects; shade, size and grade are confirmed on sample approval.
Care & storage
- Store in a cool, dry place; sola pith takes up moisture from humid air
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to limit gradual yellowing of the ivory pith
- Lift by the petals near the back, not by the raised centre
- Dust gently with a soft brush or a hair-dryer on a cool setting
- Diffuser or fragrance oil can be applied; test one piece first, as oil may darken the pith
- Unpack promptly on arrival and let the pieces air in a dry room; avoid storing in sealed, humid packaging
