Talami is a trade name for a dried, rounded botanical head with a thick, fibrous skin that wrinkles and folds as it dries. The top of each head is open, forming an irregular crown with a hollow centre. In the photograph the heads are shaded from almost black-brown at the rim and shoulders to a lighter coppery brown towards the base, giving a burnished, two-tone effect.
Mounted on straight natural sticks, the heads work as focal blooms in large dried arrangements. Their weight and dark colouring anchor lighter materials such as bleached grasses, pampas and palm leaves, and they suit moody, earthy palettes in hotel and restaurant interiors. Grouped alone in a tall ceramic vase, several Talami stems make a strong, sculptural statement.

Each Talami head is natural, so its size, roundness, crown opening and the depth of the dark-to-copper shading vary. The heads are hand-mounted, so fixing angle and stick length may differ slightly. These are natural characteristics of handmade and botanical products, not defects; shade, size and grade are confirmed on sample approval.
