Dried grass blades, flat and slightly glossy, are wound in every direction to build up the Grass Ball. The blades are narrower and more numerous than the strips on our vine balls, so HM22 has a denser, finer crisscross pattern with many small openings across its surface.
The natural colour is a muted sage-grey beige, cooler than cane or jute, with slight green and silver undertones. The image shows a group of balls, each wound by hand with its own pattern of overlapping blades and a firm, rounded shape.
That cool, earthy tone suits Japandi, Scandinavian and wabi-sabi interiors, as well as schemes with olive, eucalyptus-toned greens and stone. The balls are used as bowl and tray fillers, in glass vases, lanterns and baskets, on shelves and dining tables, and in spa and hotel styling where soft, natural materials are preferred.

Natural variation
Each ball is wound by hand from natural grass, so blade width, winding density and roundness vary, and the tone can range from sage-grey to light straw. These are natural characteristics of handmade and botanical products, not defects; shade, size and grade are confirmed on sample approval.
