Broad, flat strips give the Kambu Ball a bold, chunky look. The strips are wide and smooth, looped around each other in a loose wind, and in several places folded or bunched strips are visible at the centre through the openings.
HM23 is handmade in a pale cream tone with a soft matte surface. The image shows a group of balls with irregular, slightly faceted outlines, a result of the wide strips turning at different angles; no two balls are wound the same way.
The light colour and open, chunky form work well in bright, airy spaces: Scandinavian and coastal homes, white wedding tables, baby showers and summer displays. Kambu balls fill bowls, trays and glass vases, and they can be grouped with bleached lata balls or sola flowers for a textured, all-neutral look. The pale surface also takes paint or dye well for craft use.
