The Sola Wood Rose SO86 has a more relaxed, naturalistic form than the densely coiled Beauty Rose. Its petals are broader and fewer, rounded at the tips and allowed to open and ruffle freely, while the centre is a loosely furled bud rather than a tight spiral.
In the photograph the rose is shown face-on in natural ivory. The inner petals curl around the bud in soft folds, and the outer petals spread wide with gently waved edges, so light and shadow fall across the flower in the way they would on a fresh bloom. The surface is matte with the fine speckle and grain of sola pith.
Because it looks close to a real open rose, this design suits romantic bouquets, bridal work and table arrangements, as well as diffuser sets.
