SO15 is two flowers in one. Its heart is a classic rose, with broad, rounded petals rolled in a gentle spiral around a small closed bud. Its outer ring, however, switches to the pointed, almond-shaped petals of a lotus, so the bloom finishes in a star-like edge rather than the soft outline of a standard rose.
The sola used here has a smooth, almost satin finish, with the fine fibre lines of the pith running across each petal and catching light. That smoothness, combined with the wide, open rose centre, gives SO15 a more formal, polished look than the ruffled or fringed flowers in the range.
