Small and understated, the Sola Bud Rose SO85 captures a rose just before it opens. A rounded ivory bud sits inside a few wrapped outer petals that flare only slightly at the top, so the flower keeps a closed, conical shape rather than a spreading bloom.
The photograph shows the bud from the side and from above. In profile it forms a neat cone that narrows into a fine, cord-like stem; from the front, the tucked inner bud and the curl of the surrounding petals are visible. The sola is left natural, with soft grain lines running down each petal.
