Belani is a large, round dried fruit shell that holds its shape like a ball. The surface is covered in fine pits and raised flecks, creating a speckled, almost stone-like pattern of sandy beige over a greyish olive base. A small circular scar marks the point where the stalk was once attached.
The single piece in the photograph shows how much character one sphere carries. Placed alone on a shelf, it looks like a natural sculpture; grouped in a low tray with other pods, it becomes the anchor of the display. The neutral colouring sits comfortably in Japandi, earthy and coastal interiors, and the firm shell makes it suitable for craft, carving and painting projects.
Floral Mongers supplies Belani loose, without stems, for décor brands, visual merchandisers and craft suppliers. As a dried botanical supplier from India, we pack each sphere with padding so that the textured surface arrives clean and unmarked.

Natural variation
Each Belani is a natural fruit shell, so size, roundness, speckle pattern and the balance of beige and grey vary. Small dents or marks around the stalk scar are natural. These are natural characteristics of handmade and botanical products, not defects; shade, size and grade are confirmed on sample approval.
Care & storage
- Store in a dry place; moisture can mark the shell
- Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight
- Dust with a dry brush to clean the textured surface
- Avoid dropping on hard floors to prevent cracking
