Horizontal bands run around an open frame, leaving clear gaps between them, and the top narrows to a wrapped point that finishes the lantern silhouette. Some pieces are double-lobed, resembling a gourd.
HM19 is handmade in a natural pale beige with light flecks along the strips, and each lantern sits on a thin, flexible stick. The image shows a group of lanterns at staggered heights, where the open weave and varied outlines create an airy, sculptural cluster.
