Twisted into a tall, open spiral, the Lata Roller looks almost like a double helix on a stick. Flat strips of vine are wound around each other in a continuous twist, forming a slim cylindrical head with light passing through the gaps between each turn.
HM18 is handmade in a natural pale beige with slightly deeper tones where the strips overlap. The image shows a bundle of rollers on sticks at staggered heights, with heads of varying length; together they create a vertical, rhythmic texture unlike balls, stars or hearts.
