The name comes straight from the pattern. Each Zebra Pod is a rounded, slightly flattened woody pod in a dark cocoa-to-chestnut shade, crossed by pale cream grooves that meet at a small point at the top and bottom. Seen from above, the lines form a star; from the side, they read as bold vertical stripes against the matt brown shell.
The photograph shows a loose group of pods, several with a tiny opening at the crown, and a slightly rough, grainy surface texture. That combination of dark body and light line work makes the pods stand out in a neutral scheme, whether piled in a wooden bowl, glued onto a wreath base or scattered along a table runner.
Floral Mongers supplies Zebra Pods loose and without stems, sorted for trade buyers such as potpourri makers, décor brands and craft suppliers. As a dried botanical supplier from India, we pack them by weight in poly bags so the shells stay clean and the stripes remain sharp.

Natural variation
Each pod is a natural botanical, so size, roundness, depth of brown and the width of the pale stripes vary from piece to piece. Minor surface marks and small openings at the crown are part of the natural character. These are natural characteristics of handmade and botanical products, not defects; shade, size and grade are confirmed on sample approval.
Care & storage
- Keep in a dry place away from moisture and humidity
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the colour contrast
- Wipe with a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dust
- Suitable for adding fragrance oils; test on a few pods first
