Each one is folded so its tip curls inward like a small hood, which gives the whole flower a soft, sculpted fullness reminiscent of magnolia or frangipani buds. Several layers of these rounded petals stack around the centre, some lying outward and others standing more upright.
Bright white sola dominates, with a gentle sheen along the length of each petal. At the centre sits a compact brown knot, wound from brown fibre, which provides a warm, earthy contrast and anchors the eye.
